Public engagement in the preparation of the Competition

On 21 May 2026, a community mapping meeting was held at the Poláčkova Primary School. Approximately 25 local residents attended the meeting. Invitations to the meeting were distributed in cooperation with the Prague 4 Municipal District. From 4 May to 31 May, it was also possible to fill out an online questionnaire with a map on the competition website.

Both at the meeting and in the questionnaire, it was possible to comment on the current state of the competition site, its values and problems, and its future — the needs that should be addressed in the competition, and concerns about what the transformation of the area might bring.

The outputs from both the community mapping workshop and the online questionnaire were summarized in the Public Participation Report. The report was one of the background materials provided to the selected competition teams during the first Round of the competition, before they began developing their proposals.

Key stakeholders in the area and local residents interested in consulting on the competition brief were invited to a consultation group meeting on 15 June 2026, where the brief was presented to them. The comments and feedback gathered during this meeting were also incorporated into the Public Participation Report.
